  LONDON (Dow Jones)--Oil company BG Group PLC (BG.LN) Wednesday said Andrew Gould has been appointed as Chairman of BG Group in succession to Robert Wilson. 

  MAIN FACTS: 

  -Appointment is with effect from the conclusion of the company's Annual General Meeting May 16. 

  -Gould previously served as Chairman of Schlumberger Limited in April. 

  -Shares at 1504 GMT up 3 pence, or 0.2%, at 1277 pence.
